Darlington Hippodrome is a beautifully restored Grade II-listed Edwardian theatre on Parkgate in the heart of Darlington, County Durham. Reopened in 2017 after a major restoration, its red-plush main auditorium seats 1,000 in traditional tip-up seats across stalls, dress circle and upper tiers. Alongside it sit the 170-capacity Hullabaloo auditorium and the 100-capacity Hippo Lounge, plus smaller rooms for hire. The programme is a touring mix of musicals, drama, pantomime, comedy and tribute concerts - Celine, A Tribute To The Carpenters and 80s Live all landed in a single week of September 2026 - so it is a proper night out rather than a grassroots gig room.
