The Royal George sits at 133 Charing Cross Road on the edge of Soho, a stone's throw from Tottenham Court Road. It mixes craft beer (14 speciality draughts plus rotating guest real ales), fresh cocktails and quirky décor with a busy events calendar. The real draw for musicians is The Basement: a versatile licensed room with a stage, in-house PA and projector, fitting around 30 seated or 60 standing, that regularly hosts open mics, jam sessions, comedy and live gigs. The pub is well known for its weekly Wednesday ukulele jam (roughly 7pm–11pm) alongside harmonica and DJ nights, making it a friendly central-London spot for grassroots performers.
