The Blues Kitchen Shoreditch is a large bar, restaurant and late-night live-music club at 134–146 Curtain Road, Shoreditch, London (EC2A 3AR), serving food, burgers and cocktails alongside live blues, soul and funk every single night. Its weekly rhythm runs Monday acoustic blues, Tuesday live swing and dance, and the standout Wednesday Blues Jam — where the resident Blues Kitchen band holds the stage and invites guest musicians up to play every week — then Thursday-through-weekend touring acts and DJs until late. The Wednesday jam is the performer-facing slot: turn up, get on the list, and play with a tight house band on full backline (drums, guitar and bass amps, vocal mics) with an in-house engineer at the desk. A genuinely buzzing, music-first East London room. Confirmed open and gigging nightly in 2026 (own site, Time Out, DICE, Fever).

About The Blues Kitchen

About This Open Mic
The Night
Sunday nights at The Blues Kitchen Shoreditch belong to 'In The Pocket' — an electrifying, completely free 9pm session of live jazz, soul, R&B and hip-hop led by multi-instrumentalist Solomon Douglas and the venue's house band. It's an improvised set with an open-call segment: if you fancy it, you can hop on stage and join the music on the night, no booking needed. Tables can be reserved online but walk-ins are welcome first-come, first-served. More of a high-energy house jam than a sit-down acoustic open mic — bring your chops.
