The Others is an underground DIY music and performance venue at 6-8 Manor Road, Stoke Newington (N16 5SA), at the top of Stoke Newington's Church Street in north London. Set on the top floor of a warehouse building and acoustically treated for excellent live sound, it holds around 150 people and runs a constantly rotating programme of gigs, club nights, residencies, film screenings, cabaret, theatre and performance art. The room comes with a house PA, electric piano and backline, and doubles as a hireable rehearsal and recording space (from £10/hour for band rehearsal). It is a well-established fixture of the N16 grassroots scene, used by musicians for both performance and recording.

The Night
The Others is a much-loved multi-arts space at the top of Stoke Newington's Church Street, and its 'Yes Mess' open mic runs on the third Thursday of each month, 7pm till late. Sign-up opens at 7pm, entry is a flat £3, and PA and backline are provided — the only rule is no backing tracks. All abilities and genres are welcome, from acoustic and rock to poetry, comedy, dance and magic, in a friendly basement room. Heads up: the bar is cash only.
