The Frontier Bar is a coffee, craft beer and cocktail bar in Eastbourne's Little Chelsea quarter on Grove Road. It shares the building with The Vinyl Frontier, a long-running independent record shop selling new, used and rare vinyl, and the two operate as a combined record store and licensed bar. The first-floor room is used for live music, DJ sets and spoken-word events. It is the monthly home of The Poetry Cafe Eastbourne.

The Night
The Poetry Cafe Eastbourne meets on the second Tuesday of each month at The Frontier Bar on Grove Road, from 7pm to 9.30pm. Entry is free with donations welcome, and you book your open-floor slot on arrival. Hosted by Mister John and Pam Knapp, with a booked guest poet each month alongside the open floor. Twice a year the event moves to a main stage for National Poetry Day and World Poetry Day.
