Printers Playhouse at 49A Grove Road, Eastbourne (BN21 4TX) opened in June 2015 as a community theatre, music venue and workshop space, and is now one of the town's most intimate stages. Run as a community arts hub (Printers Playhouse Arts CIC), it programmes in-house and touring productions alongside a busy live-music and grassroots calendar — including all-abilities open-mic nights for singers, musicians, spoken-word artists and comedians (jamming encouraged, everyone welcome), Thursday karaoke from 8pm, a community choir, a 'ukulele army', quizzes and life drawing. A suntrap courtyard garden and full bar round out the offer.
