The Railway is an 1870s gabled pub standing directly opposite Lancing railway station on North Road. It is a community local with a dedicated stage area and a busy entertainment diary rather than a purpose-built music venue. Alongside the Wednesday open mic it runs quiz nights, game shows, karaoke and booked solo acts and DJs at weekends. The stage room is set up permanently for performance, with a house PA of up to four wireless vocal mics plus house instruments kept on site.

The Night
A weekly Wednesday open mic run by Blue Sky Music in the pub stage room. There is no need to book a slot in advance - performers write their name on a whiteboard and the host works down the list in order. Each performer plays three songs and then goes onto the reserve list, so latecomers still get a turn. The room has a proper stage area and plenty of seating, and the night is aimed at players of all levels. Pattern: every Wednesday.
