The Lord Nelson Inn is a classic, unspoiled back-street local on Trafalgar Street, close to Brighton railway station but just off the tourist track. It is one of the Harvey's family of pubs, run by the Lewes brewer Harvey & Son, and is Cask Marque accredited.
Music centres on a weekly open mic night that starts at 8pm with host John, plus an Irish music session, also from 8pm. Up-to-date dates for both are posted on the pub's Facebook page.
The bar opens from midday every day, with food served through the afternoon and evening.
