The Night
The Railway is a much-loved village local in Berry Brow, on the southern edge of Huddersfield, with four well-kept cask ales (Ossett and Timothy Taylor regulars plus a changing guest) and live music all year round. Its open mic is run with New Brook Entertainment on the last Wednesday of each month, 7:30pm to 11pm, free entry — the promoter says they have booked over 30 acts in the last six months and welcome acoustic and electro-acoustic, pop, folk, funk and soul, comedy and world music. Saturday is the pub's acoustic night, with regular bands, karaoke and Play Your Cards Right through the week.
