The Lawrence Batley Theatre is Huddersfield main producing theatre, housed in a Grade II listed former Methodist mission hall just off Queen Street. It has four performance spaces of different sizes, including the Main House, the Cellar Theatre and the smaller Attic, plus a cafe bar. It runs a year-round programme of theatre, music, comedy and spoken word. Attic Stories, its free monthly night of stories and poetry, takes the last Wednesday of the month in the Attic.
