Horse + Bamboo is a puppetry, mask and processional theatre company with its own arts centre on Bacup Road in Waterfoot, Rossendale. Alongside family theatre, film and workshops, the building runs a steady music programme, and its spaces are offered for bands as well as performances and screenings.
The music side is varied and very local in spirit: folk from Rachel Davis and Darren McMullen, a Surge Records launch night with Kayleigh Hall and Octane, Cacophany Arkestra, a ska night from Ska of Wonder, and sound-art and DJ events during the Rossendale Art Trail. It also hosted the Everywhere at Once weekend shows with artists including Muireann Bradley, A.S Fanning, John Bramwell and Dave McCabe.
