About The Talleyrand

The Talleyrand is an arty, eccentric independent bar and music venue in Levenshulme, Manchester, named after the cunning French diplomat who hid out in the area in 1793. Run by Tom Hughes and Dean Brocklehurst (who met working at HOME), it packs an eclectic programme of live music, DJs, poetry, comedy, theatre, film and art exhibitions into a small performance space with a stage and high-quality PA, holding around 80 standing or 40 seated. It deliberately avoids tribute and covers acts in favour of original 'BBC 6 Music' touring artists and local acts doing something different, and keeps tickets low (most gigs £5-£7, film screenings free) to stay inclusive.
