About Mr Bumble
Mr Bumble is a grassroots music venue in Blackwater, Camberley. It books Rock; originals and covers are both welcome.
Listing notes
Mr Bumble is a large traditional pub on the busy A30 London Road in Blackwater, on the Surrey and Hampshire border near Camberley. It was built in the 18th century as a coaching inn and traded for years as the Red Lion, and it sits a couple of minutes' walk from Blackwater railway station.
Music is a regular part of the week. On Thursday evenings the pub runs a live jam session, which is the night for local players who want to get up and play. Saturdays are for rock bands, and there is sometimes live music on Fridays as well. A band night in September 2026 (The Lord John Band, Saturday 19 September, 9pm) shows the Saturday programme is still going.
The main bar keeps up to four real ales, with London Pride as the regular and changing guests that often include a local beer. Steps lead up to a separate sports bar with darts and three pool tables. No food is served, though you can bring your own snacks. There is a garden and parking, dogs are welcome, and children are allowed until 7pm.
Getting there: 19 London Road, Blackwater, Camberley GU17 9AP. Blackwater station is about 200 metres away and buses stop close by. Start times for the Thursday jam are not published, so check with the pub before you go.
