Colchester Arts Centre is a 400-capacity (260 seated) live-music club and arts venue set inside a former church on Church Street, formed in 1984. It books a diverse, high-quality programme of indie, folk, jazz, world and touring acts plus comedy and theatre, with a full PA and in-house sound engineer. One of Essex's longest-running independent grassroots stages, its high-ceilinged ex-church room gives bands a distinctive, atmospheric space.
