The Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds is a 200-year-old Regency playhouse — the only surviving one in the country and one of just eight Grade I listed theatres in the UK, uniquely run under the auspices of the National Trust. It presents a vibrant, year-round programme of drama, music, dance and light entertainment, from classic drama and Shakespeare to rocking tribute bands, family shows, stand-up comedy and contemporary new writing. For west Suffolk audiences it is a cornerstone cultural venue blending heritage with a lively live performance calendar.
