Snape Maltings is a heritage arts campus on the bank of the River Alde near Snape, Suffolk, run by the charity Britten Pears Arts and set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty about six miles from Aldeburgh. Its centrepiece is the 830-seat Snape Maltings Concert Hall, founded by Benjamin Britten and converted from a redundant Victorian malthouse in 1967 — internationally renowned for its acoustics and one of the world's leading centres of music. The site hosts the Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts, the Snape Proms, Easter and October concert series and a year-round programme spanning classical, jazz, folk and world music, alongside courses and residencies that develop emerging musicians. The wider campus also includes independent shops, galleries, a restaurant and café across the converted Victorian buildings.
