Mosaic Tap is a friendly craft-beer and natural-wine bar on Pink Lane, a stone's throw from Newcastle Central Station. It's a relaxed micro-bar set-up — a small bar to the left of the entrance with plenty of seating throughout, plus a snug upstairs — and music plays through the room most of the time. The live draw is the weekly open-mic night every Sunday from 6pm, where a rotating cast of local musicians and buskers take the floor, alongside a Wednesday pub quiz. It's intimate and community-minded rather than a stage-and-PA gig room, making it a natural first slot for acoustic and singer-songwriter acts in the city centre. Open seven days, from 1pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

About Mosaic Tap

About This Open Mic
The Night
Mosaic Tap is a craft-beer and natural-wine bar on Pink Lane, a couple of minutes' walk from Newcastle Central Station, and it runs an open mic / buskers session every Sunday from 6pm. It's an easygoing, beer-led room rather than a formal listening venue, so expect a relaxed Sunday-evening crowd; PA is provided, just turn up and play. Free to play and free to watch. The bar is open 1pm-9pm on Sundays, so the session runs in the last stretch of the day, and there's a quiz every Wednesday from 8pm if you fancy a night off from performing.
Getting there
25-27 Pink Lane, Newcastle, NE1 5DW — a stone's throw from Central Station. Note the bar has moved here from its old home in the arches at Forth Goods Yard.
