Ye Olde Rose & Crown is an award-winning theatre pub on Hoe Street in the heart of Walthamstow (53–55 Hoe Street, E17 4SA), with a small standing capacity of around 120. A genuine hub of community activity and a haven for live music, it pairs a fringe theatre upstairs (regular productions) with live music down in the bar, hosts the Walthamstow Folk Club, and runs a very popular open mic where performers register with the host on the night. Six handpumps serve SIBA and local-brewery beers plus cider. It was ELAC CAMRA Pub of the Year 2022. A welcoming, original-music-friendly grass-roots room in north-east London.
