Listing notes
Walthamstow Trades Hall sits on the corner of Tower Hamlets Road and Hoe Street and has served E17 for over 100 years. It runs as a not-for-profit grassroots live music, comedy and events venue, and it's open to everyone - members and non-members alike.
The programme is wonderfully mixed: cabaret, karaoke, quizzes, choirs, queer line-dancing and Northern Soul all-dayers sit alongside international metal festivals and live gigs. Punk is a strong thread on the gig side - Smash The Fash Fest is booked for February 2027, with The Oppressed, The Restarts and Grail Guard on the bill. Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings in the main hall are kept for the hall's own club events.
The main hall has a bar and a sprung dance floor and holds up to 250 across seating and standing, with a smaller upstairs bar room for up to 50. The ground floor, including the main hall, is fully wheelchair accessible. General enquiries go to info@tradese17.com.
