Village Underground is an iconic 700-capacity independent music and culture venue in Shoreditch, East London — a former Victorian warehouse famous for the four graffiti-covered Jubilee Line tube carriages perched on its roof. Opened in 2006, the 5,000 sq ft main room sits under a ten-metre glass-panelled ceiling, with a built-in stage and a full in-house PA and lighting rig (700 standing / 220 theatre / 130 seated). One of the last truly independent rooms in East London, it programmes live gigs and club nights across electronic, indie and rock.
