About Jam in a Jar

Jam ‌‌‍in a Jar is a cosy, friendly live music and cocktail bar at 599-601 Green Lanes on the Harringay Ladder (N8 0RE), north London. A simple coffee-and-breakfast bar by day, it transforms into a music venue by night. The weekly programme centres on community jamming — 'The Community Jam' runs every Monday, hosted by the rhythm section of Alpaca Bass Trap, where musicians and creatives of all levels share tunes and lively covers — alongside 'Jamshackle!', an eclectic open mic mixing musicians, comedians and more. A genuine grassroots hub for the Harringay scene.

The Night

The ‌‌‍Community Jam at Jam in a Jar runs every Monday from 7pm to 11pm, hosted by the rhythm section of Alpaca Bass Trap — Julien Baraness on guitar, Jason Boyd on bass and Gaet Allard on drums. It's a collaborative sit-in jam rather than a fixed-slot open mic — turn up and play with the house band, with lively covers and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for musicians and creatives of all levels. Confirmed on the venue's own events diary (Mondays 20 and 27 July 2026). (A separate Ramshackle Collective open mic also runs at the venue on other dates.)
