Blue Sky Cafe & Taproom is a licensed café and taproom tucked just off Bangor's High Street (Ambassador Hall, rear of 236 High Street), with a craft-beer taproom downstairs and a first-floor room used for events. It runs live music seasonally — roughly October to April — alongside monthly open-mic sessions upstairs, plus poetry, cinema and science-café nights, leaning towards indie, folk and acoustic acts. It's a relaxed, community-minded grassroots spot rather than a dedicated gig room, dog-friendly in the downstairs taproom.

The Night
Blue Sky Cafe & Taproom — tucked up an alley off Bangor High Street, next to Santander — runs a monthly 'Words & Wine' open mic in its upstairs room, a poetry and spoken-word night where you're welcome to share your own poems or short prose, or just come to listen over a drink. It's a gentle, community-minded evening (roughly 7pm to 11:30pm) with an explicit no-tolerance line for racist, sexist or homophobic material. Drop organiser Katrina a line (katrina.moinet@gmail.com) if you'd like to read.
