The Albert is a Grade-listed Victorian pub at 66-68 Lark Lane in Aigburth, Liverpool, built around 1873 for Cain's Brewery and still full of original character — many small rooms wrapped around a central bar. Now run under the Social Pub & Kitchen / Stonegate banner, it is a down-to-earth local trading on a great selection of craft beers, gins and local brews. Music is a fixture of the week: live entertainment on Friday and Sunday evenings, headlined by a famous Sunday-night open mic with an unbeatable atmosphere that regularly turns into a mass singalong. It is a welcoming, no-frills stage for acoustic acts and singers on Liverpool's lively Lark Lane.

The Night
The Albert is the big gothic Victorian pub at the top of Lark Lane, a few steps from Sefton Park, and its Sunday open mic is one of the best-known singalong nights in south Liverpool.
The night
Sunday evenings, from about 8pm. Free to perform and free to watch. A PA is provided, so bring your own instrument. The room has a reputation for turning into a mass singalong rather than a polite listening night - come for the atmosphere as much as the slot.
