Ma Boyle's Alehouse & Eatery has occupied the iconic Tower Building at 7 Tower Gardens, Liverpool (L3 1LG) since 1974. Alongside its real-ale and food offer, it's home to Jazz Saturdays — the city's longest-running weekly jazz night, curated by Liverpool's ParrJazz. Every Saturday from 8.30pm, free entry, some of the North's finest jazz artists play on rotation, the kitchen stays open late and tables can be reserved online. The music is genuinely kaleidoscopic, weaving salsa, Latin, blues and even rock through the jazz, making it a reliable city-centre live spot rather than a one-off room.
