Left Bank Leeds is an arts and events venue inside the Grade II*-listed former St Margaret of Antioch church on Cardigan Road, in the Burley / Hyde Park area of Leeds (LS6 1LJ). A progressive space for creativity, culture and community, it holds 350 standing or 170 seated and runs an evolving programme of music, festivals, dances, open-mic nights, film screenings, comedy and workshops — the soaring church acoustics lending themselves especially to acoustic, folk, choral and classical performance. There's an in-house cafe, an outdoor courtyard, and the venue even brews its own beer (Reluctant Hero).

The Night
Left Bank Leeds is a glorious former church — St Margaret of Antioch — on Cardigan Road, and its "Listen Up" open mic is billed as "a safe space to share your creativity with an audience ready to listen". It runs on a Tuesday evening, 6.30pm to 10.30pm, with a pay-as-you-feel dinner served from 6pm beforehand.
Who can play
Everything, not just songs: "Want to share your music, art, poetry, stories, songs or practice your act....your comedy?" Music, poetry, spoken word and comedy all get the floor.
