McChuill's is a Glasgow institution — a Merchant City bar and live-music venue at 40 High Street (G1 1NL) that has been a community hub for over 27 years. Its acoustic open mic runs on Thursdays, while Friday and Saturday bring live bands and club nights spanning folk, rock and blues. The venue provides house equipment including a PA system and drum kit, and admission is usually free unless otherwise stated. It is a genuinely grassroots room (capacity around 100–150) that backs both original acts and covers, open daily noon to midnight with a pool table and a loyal local following.
