Metropolis Epsom is a modern food hall at 1 Derby Square in the centre of Epsom, with street-food traders, a bar and a busy events calendar. It has become one of the town's most visible spots for grassroots live music.
The open mic runs on the second Thursday of the month from 7pm and is free to attend. It features local performers of all ages playing to a supportive home crowd, and performers sign up in advance by emailing the events team at events@metropolisepsom.co.uk.
The food-hall setting means there is always an audience, making it a good step up for performers used to quieter rooms.
What should you charge for paid gigs? Most open mic musicians are ready for paid work sooner than they think. Check live UK rates by role, city, and venue size.
