The Brunswick is Brighton & Hove's premier independent arts and music venue — a pub, restaurant and professionally-equipped events space at 1-3 Holland Road, Hove (BN3 1JF), on the corner of Brunswick Street West. With hundreds of shows booked each year, it runs a free open mic every Monday (sign-up by 7.30pm) and a jazz jam session every Tuesday, alongside a packed diary of gigs across folk, jazz, indie and acoustic. The main performance room is fully wheelchair-accessible, and the site also has a sunny beer garden and two upstairs escape rooms. A genuine grassroots stage in the heart of Hove.

The Night
The Brunswick is Hove's much-loved live-music pub on Holland Road, and its free weekly open mic runs every Monday at 8pm in the Main Venue. It's a properly looked-after night — a professional sound engineer, full PA and lighting, and an in-house keyboard — so you can just bring your instrument and play to a warm, supportive crowd. Over-18s, free entry; sign up in advance on the Brunswick Open Mic Facebook page or turn up from 7:30pm on the night.
