The Gregson is a volunteer-run community and arts centre at 33-35 Moor Gate, Lancaster (LA1 3PY), hosting an eclectic mix of live music, exhibitions and film nights since reopening as an arts venue in 1984. A cosy café and bar are open during the day and into the evenings, and the main hall is fitted with a projector, PA system and lighting rig — making it well suited to gigs, parties, performances and dance classes. The Night
The Gregson is a community-owned arts centre in Lancaster, and its Accessible Open Mic in the Olive Bar is a lovely, inclusive evening designed specifically for people with additional needs and welcoming all ages and abilities. Hosted by the brilliant Josie, expect a mix of karaoke, dancing and open mic — just turn up, tell a volunteer what you'd like to do, and have a go. It runs on a Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm on roughly bi-monthly dates through the year (March, May, July, September and November in 2026). It's free, with donations appreciated.
