The Night
The Twa Tams has been Perth's pub 'for fun, food and music' since 1975, and its Sunday Social open mic is a fixture — a relaxed afternoon session welcoming a range of artists, with poetry readings alongside the music. Entry and playing are free, and it sits within a busy week that already features gigs two or three nights running. Turn up, sign on and play; it's as warm and unpretentious as Perth open mics get.
About The Twa Tams
The Twa Tams is a traditional Scottish pub at 79–81 Scott Street in Perth (PH2 8JR), entertaining the town since 1975 and long regarded as the beating heart of Perth's live-music scene. Over the decades it has hosted the likes of Belle and Sebastian, Travis, Frightened Rabbit and KT Tunstall before they broke through. Free live gigs run two or three nights a week, with an open-mic session on Sunday afternoons, served alongside real ales and a warm, no-frills local atmosphere. A house PA is provided and the venue books both originals and covers across genres.
