William Aston Hall is Wrexham's largest theatre and concert venue, set on the Wrexham University campus on the edge of town and run since 2022 in partnership with Theatr Clwyd, which handles its programming, bars and ticketing. The hall holds up to 880 seated or around 1,200 standing and is billed as Wrexham's No.1 venue for comedy, live music, theatre and dance. Its stage has hosted big comedy names (Sarah Millican, Chris McCausland, Katherine Ryan) and music acts from local heroes The Royston Club to Sweet, alongside ballet, dance and touring shows — including names such as Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra.
