The Live Rooms is Chester's largest independent live music venue and nightclub, spread across three spaces at 1 Station Road, Chester CH1 3DR. The main room holds approximately 300 standing with a large stage and full PA and lighting rig, and can run fully standing or seated; a balcony level (capacity approximately 150) overlooks the stage with its own bar, and a side room takes around 100 standing (about 80 seated) with a corner stage and separate DJ booth for smaller band shows, DJs, comedy and spoken word. Each room has its own sound and lighting system and staffed bar, with extra equipment hire available on request. The programme runs on indie, rock, metal, punk and tribute acts plus club nights, with gigs listed most weeks year-round.
