The Grapes is an independent traditional pub on Trippet Lane, owned by the Flynn family since 2001. There is live music six nights a week, now played in the front room.
In the late nineties and early noughties the upstairs room was a busy gig room, and the Arctic Monkeys are among the bands who played here. Today the music is a little less rock and roll, and the pub keeps many original architectural features.
