Rock City is one of the UK's most storied independent live-music venues, at 8 Talbot Street in Nottingham city centre (NG1 5GG). Open since 1980 and a fixture of the touring circuit for over 45 years, it holds around 2,000 across three rooms and six bars — the Main Hall and the Basement (Beta) run all-standing for gigs, with the Black Cherry Lounge operating separately. Its rock, metal, alternative and indie programme spans local and underground bands through to charting headliners. It is a fully equipped professional venue with in-house production.
