The King William IV, known locally as the King Billy, is Sneinton's completely independent real ale pub. It has been free of tie and family-owned since 2007, though the pub itself dates from around 1832, and sits a short walk from the Motorpoint Arena.
Every Thursday from 7:30pm there is an authentic Irish folk session in the snug, a fixture for years. The pub also runs Billyfest, an annual free festival of local bands raising money for Stonebridge City Farm and Emmanuel House.
