ZEROX is a live-music venue, cocktail bar and event space at 48-52 Sandhill on Newcastle's Quayside (NE1 3JF), a few steps from the Tyne. Heavily influenced by New York's punk-disco movement, it programmes regular original-band gigs and DJ nights across an eclectic spread of punk, post-punk, disco, jazz and acid house, running until 3am seven nights a week. It is a genuine grassroots room on the touring circuit — recent and past bills tracked on Bandsintown and Songkick include The Flooding, Dead Dads Club, SKINNER, Femur, Pave The Jungle and Bloodworm — and it also takes promoter-led nights such as Eastside's gigs. With an in-house PA and stage in an intimate bar setting, it sits firmly in Newcastle's alternative/underground live scene rather than the mainstream circuit.
