Programmed in part by the promoter Real Sounds, it bills itself as Stoke Newington's premier arts and music venue, running a genuinely eclectic diet of jazz, spoken word, comedy, original bands, open mic nights and even cinema. The room provides a full backline so touring and emerging acts can turn up and play, and the bar serves until 3am on weekends (Thursday to Sunday 12:00–03:00; Monday to Wednesday 12:00–02:00). It is a proper grassroots room that welcomes both original artists and covers, with a well-stocked bar including Guinness on tap.
