The Rum Shack is Glasgow's original Caribbean bar, kitchen and live-music venue at 657–659 Pollokshaws Road in the Southside (Strathbungo/Pollokshaws), G41 2AB — a much-loved grassroots room with a covered beer garden, a busy gig calendar and a reputation for reggae, world, folk and roots nights. Alongside its ticketed live shows, DJs and comedy, it runs a weekly open mic on Wednesdays, hosted by Kenneth Noah Blair (Noah & The West River Band) and Julen Santamaria (Awkward Family Portraits). It's a welcoming, music-first Southside crowd that knows its stuff. A PA and vocal mic are provided; bring your own instrument, amp and pedals.
