The Convivial Rabbit is an independent micropub on Trinity Street in the centre of Dorchester, a short drive from Weymouth. It serves up to six gravity fed cask ales from small independent breweries across the UK, rotated weekly, alongside local ciders, wines and spirits. It is a small, conversation first room with no television and no jukebox, which is what makes it well suited to acoustic music. Alongside the weekly Sunday folk session it runs twice monthly quiz nights and occasional live music events.

The Night
The Convivial Rabbit hosts an eclectic folk session every Sunday evening in its single room micropub. Players sit around the bar and take turns leading tunes and songs, and listeners are welcome to simply sit in. It is an acoustic open session with no stage, no PA and no booking, so anyone with an instrument can join. The session typically runs from about 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
