The Beehive Inn is a warm, dog-friendly real-ale pub at 103 Honeywall in Penkhull, on the main road into central Stoke-on-Trent. Reopened as a genuine free house in October 2015, it pours Joules Pale, Marston's Pedigree and a couple of guest ales in a two-room local. Live music runs most Wednesdays — from local acts such as the Penkhull Ukulele Band, The Boat Band and Them Pair — with a resident soul and Motown DJ on Sundays and karaoke on Saturday nights. A PA is provided and the music policy is mixed, leaning folk, acoustic and soul, making it a friendly grassroots spot for local Stoke performers. The pub also shows local football and lays on a free matchday bus.
