Sanctuary Ale House is a friendly micropub on Hartshill Road in Stoke-on-Trent (ST4 6AA), set up in August 2016 by an experienced husband-and-wife team and focused on real ales, ciders and artisan gins. Its live-music draw is an open mic night every other Sunday from 7pm, with a free-to-play house piano and a welcome for performers to bring their own instruments. Alongside the music it runs specialist beer, whisky and gin tasting nights, and is dog-friendly with board games available. As a small, intimate room it suits acoustic, folk and singer-songwriter performers rather than full bands.
