The Ship Inn at 312 Shalesmoor is one of Sheffield's oldest pubs, with roots back to 1833, reopened under new management and refurbished by Artisan Tap. It now pours a rotating range of cask beers — typically two on at a time including local breweries such as Abbeydale, Bradfield and Chantry — alongside other artisan food and drink. For music it runs occasional live music plus an open mic and acoustic jam every Tuesday, with bingo on Wednesdays. The Night
The Ship Inn is a historic pub on Shalesmoor in Kelham Island, Sheffield, and since its recent reopening the new landlord has put community and live music front and centre with a free open mic every Tuesday from 7pm to 10:30pm. It's an refreshingly broad night — acoustic, pop, blues, folk, jazz, funk and soul, country, comedy, poetry, sea shanties and storytelling all welcome — making it a friendly, anything-goes room for local performers. Entry is free.
