The Ship Inn at 312 Shalesmoor is one of Sheffield's oldest pubs, with roots back to 1833, reopened under new management and refurbished by Artisan Tap. It now pours a rotating range of cask beers — typically two on at a time including local breweries such as Abbeydale, Bradfield and Chantry — alongside other artisan food and drink. For music it runs occasional live music plus an open mic and acoustic jam every Tuesday, with bingo on Wednesdays. Family- and dog-friendly with Wi-Fi, and handy for Shalesmoor tram and several bus routes, its informal Tuesday session suits acoustic and singer-songwriter performers.
