The Hat Factory Arts Centre is Luton's leading arts and entertainment venue, at 65-67 Bute Street (LU1 2EY) in the town centre and run by The Culture Trust Luton. Opened in 2003, it programmes live music, club nights, theatre, dance, film, workshops and gallery exhibitions. Gigs happen on the 230-capacity 'Factory Floor', a flexible space suitable for a range of music, with a Basement Bar hosting smaller gigs, comedy and club nights and a Studio Theatre for performance. The import slug's town is correct (Luton) — this is a council-trust-run arts centre, not a London room.
