Metrocola is a large beer hall, cocktail bar, diner and events space on Leece Street in Liverpool city centre (L1), just by the 'bombed-out church' (St Luke's) — four big rooms spread over two floors. Open seven days a week and late at weekends (to 3am Fri/Sat), it runs a music open mic every Tuesday from 8pm with all genres welcome. A house PA and vocal mic are provided; bring your own instrument, amp and pedals. Friendly, music-literate Liverpool crowds used to hearing original songs make it a solid spot for solo songwriters, duos and acoustic acts.
