The Crooked Billet is a 1960s estate pub on the Holderness Road / Ings Road junction in east Hull, a former local-brewery house now run by Marston's. It splits into a separate bar and a large comfortable lounge — the lounge hosting live music at weekends — with a pool room, big-screen Sky Sports across four TVs and two patio areas outside. A community-rooted local that also home to an over-55s club, fishing, pigeon, football and rugby groups, it pairs weekend live music with its sports-and-quiz calendar.

About The Crooked Billet Inn

About This Open Mic
The Night
The Crooked Billet is an old 17th-century inn (formerly the Royal Oak) on Pitt Lane at Ryehill, east of Hull — a traditional local with stone floors, upholstered bench seating, a separate bar and lounge and a rear dining area. Its open mic runs on the last Thursday of the month in the lounge, alongside live music and a weekly quiz — a friendly, family-friendly local rather than a polished stage night. Bring your instrument, and sign up on the night. Ignore older listings citing a fortnightly Tuesday session — the pub is closed on Tuesdays these days — and check the pub's What's On / Facebook for the next date.
What's on stage — equipment and backline at this venue, verified regularly.
