The London Stone sits on Church Street in the centre of Staines-upon-Thames, two minutes from the Two Rivers car park. It began life in the early 1800s as a coaching inn called the Duke of Clarence and today trades as a music bar - the venue describes itself as Staines' most established and progressive music bar, booking live bands and acts alongside open mic, comedy and quiz nights, with a large gin, rum and beer range and VIP table bookings. Listings sites give the room a capacity of c. 250, though that figure is not published by the venue itself. Songkick records 63 past gigs here. At the time of this check the venue's own gig calendar showed no forthcoming dates, so artists should confirm the current programme with the pub directly (01784 613546) before pitching.
