Dubrek Studios has been a hub for Derby's music community since 2001, occupying 67 Bridge Street with a genuinely multi-purpose set-up: a gig/performance venue, art gallery, recording studio, three hireable rehearsal rooms, and a café/bar and kitchen all under one roof. The performance space hosts events most nights spanning punk, indie, folk and regular Jazz Jam Sessions, with Saturday-night bills drawing acts from across the Midlands. Well-equipped with high-quality sound gear and a full backline for rehearsals, it's an established grassroots venue and creative space with University of Derby industry ties.

About Dubrek Studios

About This Open Mic
The Night
Dubrek Studios runs EMOM (Electronic Music Open Mic) on the third Thursday of every month, 7-11pm, and it's free to get in. It's a friendly, slightly nerdy gathering for synth-heads, modular players and laptop producers rather than your usual acoustic-guitar open mic — bring your own gear and patch in. Expect ale, pizza and a generous, supportive crowd in Dubrek's flexible performance space (capacity c. 100). Sessions are regularly live-streamed, so you can warm up by watching past nights before you sign up.
