The Old Greyhound is a historic city-centre pub on New Street in Worcester — there's been a pub on the site since 1766, and it has recently reverted to its old name under the Proper Pubs banner. It's a charming, old-school community local with a lively atmosphere, and it runs a full week of entertainment: a DJ on Friday nights, disco or live music every Saturday from 8pm, plus regular open mic nights showcasing acoustic guitarists and vocalists. There's also a Sunday quiz, Tuesday board games and Wednesday darts. A house PA supports performers, and both original sets and covers are welcome. Phone 01905 780279.
