Cambridge Junction on Clifton Way (next to Cambridge Leisure Park, CB1 7GX) is the city's flagship contemporary arts centre and music venue, where music, comedy, theatre and creative learning meet. It runs three spaces: J1, the main 1,050-capacity standing room used for the music and club programme; J2, a 220-seat theatre; and J3, a 60-capacity studio for smaller performances and artist development. With a professional in-house technical setup and full backline, it hosts touring and emerging acts across rock, indie, electronic and pop, and is served by a multi-storey car park right next to the venue.

The Night
The Junction is Cambridge's flagship music and arts venue - three rooms (J1 c. 850 standing, J2 c. 300 standing, J3 studio) on Clifton Way by the railway.
The open mic
The Junction's open mic is Open Mic Club, a development programme for young musicians and creatives aged 14-25 rather than a walk-in pub night. As of September 2026 the venue's own page says: 'Open Mic Club is currently taking a break whilst we fundraise to continue the programme.' No weekly Sunday session is on the venue's what's-on - the Sunday 8pm slot stored here is not supported by the venue's current listings. This page stays published so it can be updated when the programme restarts.
